Zukunftszeugen III - Robert Wilson Theater Director, USA Interview by Christina Teuthorn September 12th, 2000 Robert
Wilson stretches the boundaries of theater, exploring the human condition
with a unique vision of movement, sound and words. He is a renowned artist,
theater director and producer based in New York. His productions have graced
stages across Europe and the United States, and he has been honored with
numerous awards for excellence. In 1992, he founded the Watermill
Center as a multi-disciplinary arts laboratory, that recently hosted
the Aventis Triangle Forum.
For the theater director, his creative refugium Watermill "is like a crystal
cube, that exists in an apple. It's the core, it's the center. It can reflect
the Universe. It can look at what happened in the past, it can think about
what's going to happen in the future." In four interview blocks, Mr. Robert
Wilson reflected with us on the global future. You can choose to listen to the interview (Real Audio format) or to read the transcription. Click here for the installation guide. 1.
