Mr. Baiyi Wu Mr. Baiyi Wu is Deputy Director of the Research Department at the Beijing-based Foundation for International and Strategic Studies (FISS) since 1993. The FISS was established in June 1989 as a non-governmental and non-profit institution, and has since been dedicated to the organization and support of research projects on politics, economics, military affairs, science/technology and culture, which are deemed relevant to peace and security. He started his professional career in 1982 as Secretary to the Minstry of Civil Affairs in the People's Republic of China. In 1984 he became Program Officer of the China Fund for the Disabled, and in 1989 Chief of Foreign Affairs at the China Xingxing Corporation (Group).
