Dr. Sarasin Viraphol Dr. Sarasin Viraphol currently is Executive Vice President of Charoen Pokphand Group, Thailand. Educated with an M.A. in Area Studies/East Asia and a Ph.D. in History/East Asian languages from Harvard University, he became Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Chulalongkorn University, and then started his political carreer in the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He worked as a First Secretary and later Deputy Director-General in the Political Department, became Director-General of the Department of the Americas & Pacific, and then Deputy Permanent Secretary. Dr. Viraphol also was appointed Ambassador-at-large and Ambassador to the Republic of the Phillipines.
