Boris Steipe
Boris
Steipe is one of Germany's leading younger genetic researchers and an
expert on biotechnology's societal impact. Since 1995, he is the Group
leader of the newly established Biostructure Lab at the University of
Munich's Genetic Research Center. Between 1990 and 1994 he worked in the
Department of Structural Research with Robert Huber at the Max-Planck-Institut
für Biochemie in Martinsried. For his doctoral thesis at the University
of Munich, he researched in the lab of Andreas Plückthun. Before he started
biochemical research, he studied medicine at the University of Munich,
the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and the Harvard Medical
School in Boston.
