Dr. Terue Ohashi Dr. Terue Ohashi is a leading sociologist in Japan, an outspoken proponent of women's equality, and one of the developers of the 'milieu' approach to social categories. She is a professor at the International School of Economics and Business Administration at the Reitaku University in Tokyo. She has written about changes in Japan's consumption society, about marketing strategies that harmonize the environment and the economy, as well as about changes in the status of women within Japanese society. Dr. Ohashi has won numerous prizes for her writing; she has assisted several Japanese ministries, including the Ministry of International Trade and Industry; and she has also applied her work in business as Marketing Director for Daiko, Inc.
