Hon. Boris Y. Nemtsov  Hon.
Boris Y. Nemtsov was appointed Russian First Deputy Prime Minister in
March 1997, and Vice President of the Russian Federation in April 1998,
positions from which he resigned in August 1998. In addition, he was the
appointed head of the administration of the Nizhny Novgorod region from
1991 to 1994. In 1995 he was elected Governor of Nizhny Novgorod. In August,
1999 he formed a party alliance with other leading reform politicians
to compete in Russia's December parliamentary elections. |
