Dr. Carolyn Fischer Dr. Carolyn Fischer is a Reasearch Fellow at Resources for the Future, a Washington-based institute that examines how market economics and environmentalism work within American society. She earned her doctorate in economics from the University of Michigan after earlier studies at the Universities of Pennsylvania and Strasbourg. In 1994-95 Dr. Fischer worked as a staff economist for President Clinton's Council of Economic Advisors. Between Penn and Michigan, she also worked for The WEFA Group.
